Celebrating World Breastfeeding 2025 at University of Chicago Medicine

The UCM FEEDS team hosted a successful tabling event that drew new study sign-ups and meaningful engagement with patients. Our breastfeeding peer counselor, Yesenia, provided educational resources to help patients order breast pumps and shared information about lactation support covered by most insurance plans. An encouragement board invited visitors to contribute advice and words of support for fellow mothers, fostering a sense of community. Overall, the event was a great opportunity to connect with patients beyond the study and promote awareness of the many resources available to support breastfeeding. The team looks forward to continuing these outreach efforts throughout the year to promote breastfeeding awareness and connect families with valuable maternal health resources.
